Our story
VONFIDEL began with K9 work in 2009.
Alfie Ameer coined the name within the practice now known as VONFIDEL K9. VONFIDEL Ranch and COGNISIVE developed later as distinct practices with separate expertise, enquiries, and professional boundaries.
2009 · The origin
2009: VONFIDEL K9
Fidelity meant a relationship in which clarity, trust, judgment, and responsibility could be seen in the work. It had to hold when conditions changed and consequences belonged to both handler and dog.
That first meaning still disciplines the name as the fields widen.
The work changed. The idea did not.
Continuity
How the name expanded
Dogs, horses, publishing, and advisory work require different expertise. Across them, the same obligation remains: understand the conditions, use sound judgment, and stay accountable for what follows.
